Friday the 13th is referring to the superstitious belief that when a Friday comes on the 13th of the month, the day is bound to be unlucky. This also originates from a religious perspective on the last Supper.
Black Friday is commonly used on different unfortunate events that have taken place on a Friday, which made an impact on the world. The assassination of John F. Kennedy fell on a Friday in 1963.
